Court Chynces is a senior wealth advisor with more than 20 years of experience working with high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners navigating complex financial decisions across multiple stages of life.
Court believes the role of an advisor extends well beyond portfolio construction. His work focuses on helping clients identify what matters most, developing a clear and thoughtful roadmap to pursue those goals, and providing ongoing counsel that increases the probability of long-term success. As financial markets, tax rules, and planning strategies have grown more complex, Court helps clients make better-informed decisions and avoid costly mistakes.
Over the course of his career at firms including Merrill Lynch, A.G. Edwards & Sons, and Jackson Financial, Court observed that even the most carefully designed financial strategies often fail not because of markets, but because of human behavior. Emotions play a powerful role in investing—particularly during periods of uncertainty. Court helps clients manage these emotional dynamics so that sound strategies are implemented, sustained, and allowed to work over time.
While Court and his team use rigorous planning tools, portfolio construction frameworks, and capital market assumptions, he does not believe theoretical optimization alone leads to real-world success. Instead, he focuses on designing strategies and portfolios that clients can understand, commit to, and live with through inevitable market cycles. This balance—between analytical discipline and a deep understanding of each client’s values, preferences, and temperament—allows Court to deliver solutions that are not merely optimal in theory, but appropriate in practice.
Court works closely with families approaching or in retirement, executives, and successful business owners—often across generations—helping coordinate investment management, retirement income planning, tax efficiency, risk management, charitable giving, and legacy considerations. His role is to serve as an advocate and partner, allowing clients to spend less time worrying about financial decisions and more time focused on family, career, and the lives they want to live.
Court earned his MBA from Vanderbilt University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ (CRPC®).
Outside the office, Court is a devoted husband and father of two daughters. He and his family enjoy spending time outdoors, golfing, and being with friends and family. Court is deeply committed to his local community and regularly works with local charitable organizations. He is also actively involved in financial education, frequently teaching educational workshops and seminars in downtown Danville, Alamo, and Walnut Creek, helping individuals and families gain confidence in making informed financial decisions.
